The MELT lab concentrates the global recycling process into one room. We have tools to clean, dry, shred, and repurpose plastic waste. The lab also acts as a place to experiment with next-generation production techniques and materials. This is where we build cigarette skateboards and mushroom toilets.

The lab was launched in 2017 with the support of UBC. Over the years, we have built up a collection of tools that allow us to work with a variety of materials.

Everyone is welcome to use and contribute to the lab – just click on the “Request Access” button on the right and fill our your contact information.
